From the Shybal Expanse Starfleet Database
PhoenixWiki, or the Shybal Expanse Starfleet Database, is a general all-purpose database of canon and non-canon information compiled by each and every member of Ascension: The Phoenix Project. Based on the wiki architecture, the database is flexible, powerful, and aims to be a valuable resource for Ensigns and Captains alike.
The existing database, entitled the Antares Station Database, was defunct and devoid of continuous updates. Furthermore, the data was hard to modify, and was open only to the webmaster. After much deliberation within the fleet council, it was decided that a wiki format would be the best way to remedy that particular problem.
Within days of the consensus, Monty had rigged up a workable test wiki, and had begun suitably altering the CSS style to match the colour scheme to match that of the main website. Within a week, Iconci and Mark Quin signed on to help as Administrators for PhoenixWiki.
It was decided then that PhoenixWiki would be closed to individual registrations, and that administrator involvement would be required for new members to obtain an account. New members are encouraged to create and manage their own bios and profiles as part of the A:PP community.
Hardware
Hosted in Hamilton, Canada, PhoenixWiki is a Linux web server running on the following hardware:

- Intel Pentium 4 Processor @ 1.3 GHz
- 128 MB RAM upgraded to 384 MB
- 160 GB Hard Drive
