  • Good news! The entire Antares Station Database has been ported over to PhoenixWiki!
  • Upgraded from Ubuntu 7.10 to Ubuntu 8.04. Everything seems ok, but let me know if anything doesn't work right!!
  • It turns out the join form for the website has been malfunctioning lately, and has not been sending in applications for new members! Never a good sign... I don't know how long it's been like that, but I've fixed it now. If you've send in an application recently and have not heard back from us, please send us an email!!
  • So the hard drive kicked the bucket.. hard...! When I got back to the server, the hard drive was clicking.. never a good sign. So I cut my losses and installed a newer hard drive into the server. Started over from scratch I did, so now we're running off Linux (instead of Windows, which is good in its own ways) as well. Unfortunately, the backups were half a month old :(... but it's better to have that than to lose everything!! Have fun, A:PP!
  • My apologies for the intermittent blackouts to the SESDB! I've tried to carry them out whenever nobody's online and editing, and it's not particularly hard, average user load is less than one person.
  • Please welcome our new SESDBD (Shybal Expanse Starfleet Database Director), User:Reeves minor!
  • Added article count to main page... wow, we're at 203!
  • Added entry to scheduled downtime page
  • Added a new favicon
  • Added email services. Please update your email address please! It'll allow us to email you if anything serious happens, and will allow you to have PhoenixWiki automatically send you a new password if you lose your old one. Enjoy!
  • PhoenixWiki's hardware has been upgraded from an old Compaq AMD K6-2 (345 MHz) to an old IBM NetVista (1300 MHz).
    • Trade-off is less RAM (384 MB vs. 512 MB), but that's simply because I am in no mood to plunk down $100 for more RDRAM for an old server. If you have any RDRAM available, and are feeling generous, please contact Monty.
    • PhoenixWiki should feel MUCH faster now. The people who'd notice the most would be the users from the UK, since they're the farthest away.
    • If you see ANY problems (broken templates, broken features, etc), please contact Monty
